Mood: waiting for wind
1st November 2009
Windsurfing: Littlestone
Wind Direction: SE-S
Wind Stength: 30+ mph
Surf / Sea State: waves
Air Temperature: ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: overcast and windy at first, then nukin and pissing down !!
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Early start, but not as early as some, at Littlestone. On the water by 8.30am and got about an hour before I couldn't see where I was going due to the rain.
Concensus was 4.7m when I got there, so rigged the Ego 4.7m and twin fin 86 and got on with it.
Once the rain started it was a real problem seeing where I was going .... rain and contact lenses dont seem to mix well, and windfsurfing with my eyes shut didn't seem to work so well either.
Eventually conceeded that I'd had my time, especially as the wind was really starting to howl through and I needed to change down ... decision to make was 4.2m or 3.7m ... yep ... it was that windy !!!
Thought the rain might pass so chilled for a bit, but gave up waiting as my stomach told me it was time to find some food .... and this would be a good call in preparation for an afternoon session at Camber.
Hats off to the guys who stuck it out at Littlestone while me and Rich scuttled off for food .... but I just cant sail in the pissing down rain and I was proper hungry too ;-)
